End of Year Cook Out

We had a cook out this past weekend with several of the families in the neighborhood who have children in Walker's kindergarten class. Their teacher, Ms. Nicole, and her husband also came over. We all had a great time visiting and the kids had a blast playing on the Slip-N-Slide, having a picnic and just running around.

Soccer Brings in Family

The state soccer tournament was this weekend. Teams from all over the state came to Tupelo to compete. Scott's cousins' daughters play soccer for a Clinton team so their whole family came to Tupelo for the tournament. We haven't seen them in several years and were so excited to spend Friday evening with them. We had a great time catching up and the kids had the best time playing. We all decided that we needed to get together more often.

Recent Project

We recently moved a weeping mulberry that was right by our patio. I was so excited to be able to see out of my breakfast room window and to see the play set from the patio. I couldn't decide what I wanted to put in it's place until my mom and I visited Mid-South Nursery. They have the most beautiful fountains made from large ceramic pots. I decided that I could make one. I did splurge on a pot and the fountain kit from the nursery, but did the rest on my own. I think it turned out really well. I just finished it a few days ago and Scott and I have already enjoyed relaxing on the patio to the sound of the fountain.

More T-ball

Walker is still loving t-ball. He is doing pretty well fielding and batting. They start coach-pitch next week which should be interesting!

Flying High!

Walker and I had the best time flying his kite one windy afternoon. He wasn't content watching me get it up in the air. He wanted to try it by himself, and he did a great job! We chased that kite all over the yard and laughed the whole time.

Splash Pad

Walker's kindergarten class celebrated the end of the year with a trip to the Splash Pad. Walker said his favorite was the water guns.

Kindergarten Graduation

Walker graduated from Kindergarten at Harrisburg Day School. The end of the year program was "Down by the Creek Bank." The kindergartners had speaking parts and some even had solos. They were precious! After the program, the graduates came in wearing their cap and gowns! That was a tear jerker, to say the least! I just kept remembering bringing him to Harrisburg for his 1st day in the baby room, and now he is graduating! Seems like 5 years have gone by way too quickly! We are so proud of you, Walker, and are looking forward to watching God's plans for you unfold!

GA Mother Daughter Banquet

Elizabeth, Anna Grace, Blair and Adrienne
We had a wonderful time at our church GA mother daughter banquet. The girls have worked really hard completing mission and services projects in order to earn GA badges. They were all excited to finally get their banners with their badges.

Making Beautiful Music

Anna Grace and Mrs. Sylvia Thornton, her piano teacher.
We are so proud of our little pianist!
Bebe and Daddy Jim don't miss any special events!

Anna Grace had her 1st piano recital Monday night, and she played beautifully. She said she was nervous and her hands were shaking, but we couldn't tell. She played Jiggity Jig by Carrie Kraft and Fish in School by Judith R. Strickland. Both pieces went from one end of the keyboard to the other. She looked like a professional pianist!
We were so glad Nana and PopPop could come all the way from Brandon to hear Anna Grace play. They have encouraged Anna Grace to take piano lessons and even moved their piano to our house so that could practice on a real piano instead of a synthesizer! Thanks Nana and PopPop!

Rampin'

Fearless! That pretty much sums up Walker. He is willing to do nearly anything once. PopPop made this ramp for him at Christmas. So Walker had to show off a little while PopPop was here this weekend. Won't be long until he's doing wheelies off the ramp!

Happy Birthday PopPop!

PopPop's 60th birthday was on Sunday, and we were so excited to spend part of the day with him. He and Nana drove up from Brandon on Sunday so that they could be here to go to Anna Grace's piano recital on Monday night. Hope you had a wonderful birthday PopPop! We love you!

Great Job, Anna Grace!

Anna Grace's had her gymnastics recital this afternoon. Wow, those girls are flexible! They showed off on the beam, bars, vault and floor. They did back bends, 1 handed cartwheels, flips and back walk overs. We all were so impressed with how much these girls have learned this year. It won't be long, and they'll be doing back handsprings and back tucks! We are so proud of you, Anna Grace!

First T-ball Game - Finally!

Walker was glad Bebe and Daddy Jim came to see him play.
Walker finally had his 1st t-ball game tonight, and it a soggy mess! It has rained nearly everyday for the past 3 weeks, so the ground was soaked. But the boys LOVED it and ended up with mud from head to toe! Maybe it will dry out for our next game! Walker played really hard and made some really good hits! We are so proud of you Walk!

Pilates anyone?

The kids came in the other night while I was trying to tone up with a new Pilates DVD that came with 2 exercise bands. They thought the bands were the coolest things ever. They watched intently while I finished and then begged to see the video again - this time they wanted to use the bands! They were hilarious! But I was very impressed that they both actually worked very hard to do the exercises just like the lady on the video! They'll be Pilates pros before long!
