1st T-ball Practice

T-ball practice started this week, and Walker had a ball! He has a lot to learn - like not running for every ball or fighting teammates for the ball - but it looks like he my be a pretty good little ball player.

We LOVE Tennis!

Anna Grace and Walker are loving some tennis these days. Walker has always loved to hit out on the driveway and frequently asked to go with me to the courts. Anna Grace has never really shown an interest in tennis. She doesn't really like to sweat! But we talked about how fun tennis is and Anna Grace decided she wanted to take lessons this summer and go out to the courts to practice with me. I told her that I would need to get her a racquet. She added, "And some tennis clothes." The girl knows what's important!

Healthworks!

AG and Cameron
Anna Grace's class visited Healthworks recently. She had a great time exploring all the health related activities on the Fun Floor. She said her favorite was the dance mat.

It's Beginning to Feel Like Summer!

We were so excited to be out of school on the Monday after Easter. It was starting to feel a little like summer so the kids decided it was time to bring the sprinkler out. They ran and played for awhile and then decided to wrap up and have some lunch.

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny brought lots of goodies for the kids this morning. Walker was most excited about his new T-ball bat and big water gun. Anna Grace came running into our room with her Webkin Duck she had been wanting for months. She was also very excited to see the ICarly microphone sitting in her basket. Our Easter service at church was wonderful! We were all moved by the music and were reminded that Jesus is our salvation. He suffered and died so that we might live eternally. Anna Grace's art from Sunday School really sums up what Jesus did for us:

JESUS
GAVE
SALVATION
TO
THE
WORLD
After church we enjoyed a wonderful lunch with Scott's family. There is always something going on when all 7 grand kids are at Bebe and Daddy Jim's house! Thanks to Leigh Ann, we all enjoyed making Resurrection Rolls. The kids (and adults) were surprised to find that the marshmallow that was wrapped up in the crescent roll was gone when they came out of the oven - just like the tomb was empty on Easter morning!

Another Egg Hunt

Walker in the Egg Run

Anna Grace and Walker were so excited to the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. It was colder than we anticipated but the kids stayed warm running from game to game. Walker loved the Egg Run and Egg Toss. During the Egg Toss, Walker and I tossed and dropped that egg so many times we didn't think it would ever break. But, it eventually did -- all over Walker! Anna Grace enjoyed the games and then decided entertaining younger kids was more fun. She is going to be a great babysitter one day!

Before the Egg Hunt the kids had a great time watching David Strange and his magic show. They were totally impressed when he made snow out of a napkin! Then it was on to the Egg Hunt. Walker found 20 before I could catch up with him! Since they were only supposed to find 10 eggs, he decided he better put some of them back! Anna Grace found her 10 eggs pretty quickly, and then they suffered through more of Mom's photo sessions! What's Easter without lots of pictures?!

Little Diva

Anna Grace is a definite DIVA!!! She went to a birthday party at Little Diva's this past Friday and came home all dolled up. Of course, she had to strike some poses for the camera!

Last Soccer Game

Walker's last soccer game was VERY cold and windy. They boys played hard and were glad to celebrate afterwards with a pizza party at the Austins' house. Walker was especially excited to get a soccer trophy! Now...on to T-Ball!

"SON-rise" Celebration

Our church had a "Son-rise" Celebration on Saturday morning. They enjoyed making a sand art cross, hunting Eater eggs, listening to the story of Jesus and having a yummy snack. Anna Grace and Walker had a great time!

Twisting the Night Away

Anna Grace was so excited to have Caroline spend the night Friday night. They had the best time playing babysitting babydolls and puppies, playin with their American Girl Dolls, watching movies and playing Twister!
