Date with Daddy

Anna Grace was so excited to have a date with her Daddy to The Father/Daughter Ball last night. We found the perfect dress, shoes and headband. She looked way too grown up - eight going on 18! She and Scott went to the ball with Brandon and Kaylee Beth Moore. Unfortunately, mom's could not attend, but Anna Grace said she loved dancing the Electric Slide, Macarana and the Hoedown Throwdown. She also really enjoyed the fancy horse and carriage ride. She came home exhausted with a mascarade mask, beads, teddy bear and a goody bag. It was definely a night to remember!
Getting all dolled up!

Happy Father's Day

I am so thankful that Anna Grace and Walker have been blessed with such a loving father.

After church we spent the afternoon with Bebe and Daddy Jim. The kids enjoyed helping Daddy Jim open his presents. And then cooled off while jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler under it.

The Boomarange Express

Outstanding Campers for the Red team: Kaylie Crippen, Avery Ray and Anna Grace

Anna Grace and Walker both loved going to VBS this year. The theme was the outback and The Boomerang Express - "it all comes back to Jesus!" The music was great and the kids had a great time learning the songs. They sang them at the house constantly!
After VBS, Anna Grace went Music Camp. The kids were divided into teams and competed in different challenges each day. They also practiced the VBS songs and performed them on Sunday night. It was a great production that reinforced the fact that everything life comes back to Jesus.
At the end of the musical, the several awards were given. The outstanding camper for each team was based on votes from team mates. They were told to vote for the person who showed Jesus' love all week. There was a three way tie on Anna Graces team and the camp director decided that all three girls deserved the award. Scott and I were so proud that Anna Grace was one of three! Congratulations Anna Grace!

Visit to Brandon

The kids and I made a very quick trip to Brandon last weekend for my brother's 30th birthday party. I got lots of pictures from the party, but unfortunately they were with Angie's camera! We all had a great time visiting with family and Breisch and Angie's sweet friends.

The next morning, Nana and I took the kids to the park down the street. It was extremely hot, but the kids loved taking a walk around the park after playing on the playground.
Later, we celebrated an early Father's Day with PopPop since we weren't going to be with him on Father's Day. We love you PopPop!

Cubs vs. FUMC

Walker and Sam were excited to be playing each other in t-ball last week. They had the best time trying to tag each other; they laughed the whole time! They are best buddies - even if they are on opposite teams!

Fun in the Destin Sun

We just got back home from a wonderful beach trip! Anna Grace and Liza left for Destin with Bebe and Daddy Jim on Sunday. Scott, Walker, Josh and I drove in late Tuesday night. We got in a few hours of beach time on Wednesday before the rain started. Bebe and I took the kids to see Up in 3-D and did a little shopping.
We spent a good deal of time on the beach and in the pool the rest of the week. Anna Grace and Liza didn't want to come out of the ocean on Monday; but when the red flags came out, Anna Grace would have nothing to do with the ocean and preferred the indoor pool! She also collected lots of shells to put at the base of our new fountain at home. Walker had a big time at the beach. He enjoyed throwing the football with Scott and Josh as well as riding the waves on his boogie-board. He even helped Miley and Liza build a few sand castles and rivers.
We enjoyed lots of fabulous food! Walker ate his weight in fried shrimp. Anna Grace stuck to the basic chicken tenders. (I think she might start growing feathers!) We all really enjoyed Baytown where the kids loved the bungee jumping (on trampolines!) Walker fell asleep at the table, while the girls caught part of an outdoor movie they were showing.
Saturday morning Scott and I took the kids to the Donut Hole, and then headed to the Track for a little putt-putt and go-carts. We all had a blast on the mountain Putt-Putt course. Anna Grace and I even got a hole in one! We are still not sure who won - Scott hasn't added the scores up yet (wonder why?) Everyone got soaked at the bumper boats, and then it was off to the go-carts. Anna Grace choose to sit that one out (too loud), but Walker and Liza had a great time whizzing by us. Later, we were all laughing as we rammed into each other in the bumper cars! Then it was off to the beach for our last day of sand and sun.
