A Weekend with the Jacks

We were all so excited to see the Jacks when they came this past weekend. The are one of our dearest friends! They moved from Tupelo to Auburn about 5 years ago and we miss them terribly! We only get to see them about 2 times a year (usually around MSU/Auburn games!) Of course, we have no pictures of the adults, but did get a few of the kids. We all had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit.

Helpers!

Isn't it funny how kids love to help in the house - with certain chores. They gripe and fuss about putting clothes up and picking up their rooms, but you get a mop out and they are all about helping! I guess I should be happy they are willing to help with something!

SNOW!!!!

We were so excited to see the snow coming down the morning! After getting their Eskimo gear on, the kids ventured outside. There were lots of snowball fights and snow angels! Even though there wasn't a lot of snow, we were able to build a tiny snowman.

Looking for a snowball fight!
At least there was enough snow for a miniature snowman!

What's Been Happening Since Christmas?

We have all had a wonderful (and restful) Christmas break. None of us are looking forward to getting back into the grind of the morning rush, homework or running to after school activities. The kids had so much fun being home. Some of their favorite activities over the last week were:

Making and sleeping in a tent in the office (for 2 nights!)
Playing Uno Attack

and playing lots of games on the Wii!

Christmas Day in Brandon

We left for Brandon on Christmas afternoon and got there just in time for dinner. Afterwards, we headed to the den to open presents. The kids were thrilled to open more gifts!
Nana & Gage. We were all amazed at how big Gage had gotten since Thanksgiving! Angie calls him "Chunky Monkey!"
Reid tearing into one of his gifts.
AG was so excited when she opened her lava lamp! Groovy!!
Breisch played Santa this year and handed out the gifts to the kids in "rounds." They all opened one gift. When the wrappings were all cleaned up, they got another gift for the next round! It worked really well, and we all got to see what all the kids opened.
Walker couldn't wait to play the Toy Story Wii game!
Of course, AG's favorite thing while we were at Nana's house was "babysitting" Gage.
(Baby Jage as Lily calls him!) Since PopPop didn't have to play Santa, he got some quality time with Gage.
When everything was cleaned up, the kids started the new Wii games.
AG and Lily hanging out!

Santa's Been Here!!!

Look what Santa brought!!! Anna Grace and Walker couldn't believe that Santa had brought them a Wii and so many other toys. AG checking out the songs on her new "IPOD"

Walker loved his new race track. AG couldn't wait to use her new hair straightener.

After checking out all that Santa brought, AG spied a note on the kitchen table. It was from Santa! He said the needed to find their last present after they put their boots and coats on.

They were completely surprised to find a trampoline in the backyard.
Unfortunately, Santa said that the net had been broken on the flight from the North Pole, but Mom & Dad could buy another one after Christmas.
It was SO cold that the kids didn't even ask to jump! We only stayed out long enough to get a good look at the new trampoline and then it was back inside to open more presents.
