First Day of School - 2010

Where did the summer go? It seems like yesterday they were just getting out of school! I think Anna Grace and Walker were both excited to get back to school - mostly to see their friends!

1st day of 4th grade
1st day of 1st grade
I didn't get a picture of Walker at his school on the 1st day because he said he was too big for me to walk him in! I was a little sad, but so happy that he feels comfortable enough to navigate the halls alone.

Mani & Pedi Tradition

Several years ago, Anna Grace and I started a tradition of getting manicures and pedicures right before school starts. We love taking time to pamper ourselves before the craziness of early morning, lunches, and homework begins.

Our favorite place ...the Beach!!

Towards the end of the summer, we decided it was time for a trip to the beach. So we loaded up and made the trip to Destin with our good friends, the Rays. The weather and water was absolutely beautiful! There was very little seaweed for most of the week and we only saw one or two tar balls during the week. Needless to say, the kids had a blast and the grown-ups enjoyed hanging out under the umbrellas, reading some good books, and people watching!!

Ready to ride some waves!

After a long day in the sun and surf, the kids would shower and play lots of cards!

Sweet sisters - Avery & Regan
Not sure why Walker's face always gets burned. We use the same sunscreen on both kids! They tried their hand at sand castles.
Searching for seashells
AG & Avery ~ 2 peas in a pod!
and riding more waves...
Poor Walker ended up with swimmers ear and a middle ear infection and wasn't able to get in the water the last two days of our trip. He was not too happy! The last night of our trip, we went to Baytowne. All the kids wanted to run in the hamster balls! It looked pretty easy, but it was really hard to stand up inside those balls in a pool of water!
Walker decided to try his luck at golf. The only problem was that he had to hit it on a green that was out in the water! It was definitely harder than it looked!
Anna Grace chose to do the bungee trampolines! We tried to get her to do a flip, but she just wanted to jump.
