Morning Rides

Anna Grace saved her money and bought a Razor Pocket Mod scooter that she had been wanting for a long time.  She was so excited to ride it the first time!
Every morning since Anna Grace got her scooter, she and Walker jump out of bed, race through their morning routines so that they have enough time to ride their scooters before school!
These scooters sure make mornings much easier at the Wise house!!

Invention Fair

Walker's 2nd grade pod did African American Invention Fair. Walker was assigned George Alcorn, Jr. who invented the Imaging X-Ray Spectrometer which determines what a material is made of when it can't be broken down (like when it is on Mars.)  He worked form many different companies and even NASA.

Once Walker figured out what Dr. Alcorn invented, he had to invent something that was similar to or improved Dr. Alcorn's invention.  He invented the Imagining X-Ray Motion Detector which determines the elements in an atmosphere and shows the movement of the elements.

It was a difficult assignment but Walker did a great job learning the information and presenting it at school!

All Jazzed Up

The 2nd grade at Walker's schools presented "All Jazzed Up: one night in February.  It was a fabulous performance complete with singing, dancing and even choreography with gloves and black lights!
Walker had a speaking part and did an excellent job of explaining that several musical instruments originated from jazz - including the drums.

Ryan and his partner put on a show for us while they demonstrated a type of jazz dance.

Even Catherine came to celebrate with AG!
AG had been begging for a cell phone, but her Dad and I told her that she had to be 12 years old.  She had picked out  a couple of other things she would like if she couldn't get a phone.
So we gave her a new Kavu Backpack.  Then.....something started ringing!!
AG opened one of the front pockets and pulled out a phone!!!!
She was completely shocked and surprised!!
All her friends thought it was a cool way to get a phone!!

Opening more presents.
AG and sweet Caroline...friends since the baby room at HBC!

Money Machine!

On Sunday afternoons our church has Bible Buddies for children in 1st through 3rd grades.  When a child says all the books of the Bible, he/she gets to get in a "Money Machine."  It actually has a few dollars in it, but mostly it has coupons for candy and Disciple Dollars (that is cashed in at the church Fish Market.)
Walker was so excited when he was able to get in the "Money Machine!"  He didn't catch any money, but he did get some Disciple Dollars.
