Christmas Carols

Ms. Carla's voice students sang Christmas Carols at Sanctuary Hospice House this week.  It was absolutely beautiful!  One of the nurses asked them to come to the lobby area down the hall because one of the patients absolutely loved Christmas carols.  I'm so glad these girls were able to brighten someone's day.

Church League Basketball

Walker's church league basketball team had its first game a couple of weeks ago.  They looked pretty good for 2nd and 3rd graders!  Walker loves it and is always ready to play!

Mom's Helper

Anna Grace is always a big help around the house during the Christmas season.
She loves to stamp the return address on Christmas cards, but this year she even helped address them!  I think her handwriting is much better than mine!!

She absolutely loves Oreo Balls and helps with every part of the recipe especially eating them!!

3rd Grade Christmas Program

The 3rd grade at Walker's school presented their Christmas program.  It was all about Elfis the Elf - very cute!!

As we were leaving, Walker saw the Christmas card he drew on the door.  He said not many were chosen to be displayed.  Very proud of my budding artist!!

John the Elf Returns!!

Anna Grace and Walker couldn't wait for John the Elf to return this year.  He came on Dec. 1 and even brought a gift.

North MS Christmas Festival

Anna Grace and Walker both participated in the North MS Christmas Festival at our church.  It was a very moving program and we were so thankful that many people accepted Jesus as their savior!
AG & Caroline - BFFs

Disney 2012

October was an exciting month for our family.  We spent the days before Halloween at Disney World!!!   Hollywood Studios was our first stop.
Rockin Roller coaster was one of our favs at Hollywood.  I think we rode it 4 or 5 times!!!
Our only mistake of the trip was not running straight for The Toy Story Ride.  We ended up waiting over an hour!!!
Of course, we loved Beauty and the Beast!
Tower of Terror was our other favorite at Hollywood!
Day two was Islands of Adventure.  The kids and I were so excited to finally see Harry Potter World!!  It was amazing!

We had to try Butter Beer, but we didn't like it too much!
Seussville was really cool.  We loved seeing the way Dr. Seuss's book were interpretted into rides!
Anna Grace couldn't wait to ride all the BIG rollercoasters.  Unfortunately, Walker was a little too small for the Hulk, so Daddy rode it with AG.  Walker and I were fine to just watch!!!
Walkler bought a light up bouncy ball to occupy his time while we waited!  That was the best $8 we spent all week.  That ball kept him entertained for days!!
This was our first time to this park, and we had a really good time.  However, Scott and I noticed that there were areas of the park that got pretty conjested.  We remembered the first time we visited Disney as a family, Scott's dad kept saying, "Disney knows how to move people."  We didn't realize how true that was until we visited a different park.  That ended up being the running comment through our entire Disney trip.  Thanks Daddy Jim!!

We headed to Magic Kingdom on our 3rd day.  We loved seeing all the Halloween decorations throughout the park!

We loved everything about Magic Kingdom, but our favorite rides were Splash Mtn, Space Mtn. and Thunder Railroad!!

We spent day 4 in Epcot. Of course, we LOVED Soarin, Mission: Space, and the other rides.

But the kids had the best time as Agents with Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure.  They received a cell phone that would provide them with video clues to help them solve cases in several of the countries in Epcot.  It was the most fun!!  AG and Walker followed all the clues and got to see some really cool things, like a video come up in a lion statue and a monkey come out of a pond!!

During there adventure, the kids made time for a few games and a funnel cake!
After dinner in the freezing wind, we enjoyed watching the fireworks of Illuminations!!

Our last full day in Disney was spent at Animal Kingdom.

Mount Everest was our favorite ride!
Of course, we loved A Bug's Life and the Tree of Life.
We also loved the Dino Rama Ride although it jerked us all over the place!!

We enjoyed the parades in all the parks!

Nemo and Lion King are aways fabulous!
Walker talked about getting a big turkey leg everyday of the trip, so we finally gave in on the last day!  It was as long as his arm!!

That night the kids changed into their Halloween costumes, and we headed back to Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Anna Grace wore her Toddlers and Tiaras costume, and
Walker wore his Albert Pujols shirt and baseball pants. They even got to trick or treat around the park which was really cool.
 AG's favorite character is Piglet!!

The Boo to You Halloween Parade was awesome!!
Most of the characters wore their Halloween costumes!

We had such a great time at Disney. The kids didn't want to see characters or princesses.  They just wanted to ride the rides and see the sights.  We are already missing the magic of Disney.  Looking forward to our next trip!!
