Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  The stone is rolled away!  He has risen!  He is alive!!

The kids were so excited to see what was in their baskets on Easter morning.

Walker (8 years old) and Anna Grace (11 years old)

After lunch at Bebe and Daddy Jim's house, the kids started water gun and water balloon fights.

                                                           Sam and his water balloons!
The boys found turtles hiding under the bushes and all the kids were fascinated with them.
We celebrated Charlotte's 7th birthday with cookie cake.
Ready for the egg hunt.

John David has a basket full!
Even Catherine enjoyed the egg hunt!
Later in the afternoon we went to check on the kids and found them rolling down the big hill in the backyard.  They were so dizzy by the time they got to the bottom, but it didn't stop them from running back up to do it again...laughing all the way!!

Thank you God for the blessing us so richly, with our family, friends, church but most of all for our precious Savior, Jesus.  "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."  Isaiah 53:5

What about Walker?

Walker's been busy over the last few weeks.
Shooting some hoops with Charlie
Making a cool water slide

Walker's class made cascarones before Easter.  Cascarones are made by removing the inside of the egg and filling it with confetti then covering the opening with tissue paper.  Throughout Mexico and the American Southwest, Cascarones are used to celebrate. Kids have fun by breaking the egg over someone’s head; allowing the confetti to spill out.  Many say the confetti shower brings good luck and good fortune!

Cascarones also represent the Resurrection of Jesus Christ;  the breaking of the egg symbolizes how Christ  had risen from the tomb, just like a new born chick opens the shell.

Before the Bunny Hop, the kids had a great time cracking the egg over their own head!!!

Walker LOVES crawfish and ate a ton a few weekends ago.  He even learned how to open them!

He and Charlie love playing tag football!
Looking cool in his new glasses!

He and I both had a great time putting together his basketball puzzle.  Now we need a baseball, football, ......!

What has Anna Grace been up to?

Fun times at school...

Working with a group of girls from schools to raise money for St. Jude and Ronald McDonald House

Hanging out with friends
Doing a little art...Shown at the Gumtree Museum
Bible Drill - Learning 25 Bible verses , 10 key passages
and finding any book of the Bible in 10 seconds or less!!

 Bath Chip (her idea!)
Anna Grace, I can't believe how fast you are growing and changing.  Already 11, you are definitely more of a "tween" than a little girl.  It makes me a little misty eyed to see you moving so fast into the teenage years.  Even though, your Daddy and I are SO not ready for that, we are so proud of the young lady you are becoming!  You can do anything you put your mind to (i.e., algebra, Bible Drill and back handsprings!)  You have such a sweet spirit, and I know God is going to use you in big ways.  I love you!
