Decorating Pumpkins

Scott was gone to Knoxville this weekend for the MSU game, so the kids and I decided to do something fun on Saturday morning. We went to a local pumpkin stand for AG and Walker to pick out their own pumpkin. When we got home the kids were ready to cut into them. I explained that we were going to try something different - pumpkin tattoos. When Walker realized that we were not going to cut the pumpkins, he was not thrilled to say the least. But after I explained that we might cut a pumpkin closer to Halloween, he decided he would try to tattoos. So the kids cleaned their pumpkins up, picked their tattoo and carefully rubbed it on with wet sponges. When they pulled the paper off, we were all excited to see that the faces were adorable!

Ms. Sydney,

The pumpkins look great! My family did those tattoos last year and the pumpkins were hilarious to look at in the front yard. They will last longer, if you don't cut into them.

ps. If you didn't put tattoos on the other side of the pumpkins, then you can turn them around to the blank side for November.
